I’m a Human Disco Ball
I don’t make the light, I catch it
Hold it, then scatter it across the room
I am reflection
Fragments of everything I’ve touched, every laugh, every glance
They see sparkle, but don’t always see the angles
The sharpness it takes to break light into something beautiful
I’ve been hit from directions no one talks about
soft light harsh light
and still, I turned
still, I shined
And maybe that’s the point
Because I was never built
to hold light quietly
I was built to take whatever finds me and make it dance
I’m a human disco ball
